UPDATE: SAFER Team notifications

Jan. 3, 2022

Following public health protocol for a surge, the SAFER Team will attempt to reach high-risk positive cases first according to CDC priority. If you have tested positive, please stay home and utilize these best practices. Watch for emails from COVID19@fsu.edu for important COVID-19 information that pertains to your university activities, since not everyone may be reached by phone. Close contacts will be notified by email as they are identified so that we can continue to identify contacts via positive cases.

Given the transmissibility and rapid spread of the Omicron variant, the virus can spread significantly before an individual knows they are positive, making contact tracing less effective. Masking (KN95 or N95), distancing when possible, and handwashing remain important methods to prevent infection.
